Have previous work that is too dark to be covered up? Unhappy with your tattoo and would like to lighten it? This is a non-invasive service meant to lighten old permanent makeup tattoos or small body tattoos.
There are two types of tattoo removals: laser tattoo removal and solution based tattoo removals.
Both methods of removals require multiple sessions.
In our session, the area will be treated with a gentle acid solution and sterile needle (*edit, copied from marsha's site). Solution will break down pigment and lift it from the skin. Treated area will look red and may bleed. Mild discomfort is experienced afterwards, similar to a slight sun burn.
A minimum of 8-12 weeks between each removal session is required to maintain skin integrity. Removing unwanted pigment is a long process and patience is required. This is true whether you are choosing a lightening service or a laser tattoo removal. The number of sessions cannot be guaranteed, as it is dependent on your previous work (how dark tattoo is and how deep it has been implanted).
Saline removal sessions start at a $100 and appointment times run around ~1.5h. Topical numbing is applied prior and during to starting to minimize discomfort experienced.

Pain level
May permanently remove brow hairs
Scarring = unable to tattoo over skin that has been lasered
May not remove all colors since laser is based on wavelengths.
There is not one wavelength that penetrates all depths or colors in the skin.

Saline Solution Removal
Does not discriminate against any color (different color mineral and organic oxides are mixed to create pigments). This type of method targets all colors.
Less risk of scarring as it is gentler and uses a solution to lift ink that has been implanted in the skin.
Less expensive.
No risk of losing brow hairs if considering a coverup in the future.
